Parent + Tot

A great way to introduce the art of dance to your little one. Dancers will enhance their gross motor skills, improve their sense of rhythm and coordination, and will be introduced to dance in a positive way. This class provides the development of body awareness and function through creative movement. Best of all, it’s lots of fun to dance alongside your little one! Dances must be 18mo – 2 years old. This class does not participate in recitals.

Parent/guardian and dancer may wear anything they are comfortable moving around in – dance attire is more than welcome for our tots!

Kinderdance

This class is our 3-year-old program. This 1/2 hour class is based on creative movement with ballet basics. The focus of this program is to increase overall gross motor skills and musicality.

Kindercombo 1 + 2

This hour-long class consists of 20 minutes each of ballet, tap and jazz. By training children in all three dance styles they receive the training benefits of each dance style.

Kindercombo 1 is for 4-year-olds (JKs), Kindercombo 2 is for 5-year-olds (SKs).

Kinder Acro, Ballet, Hip Hop

These high-energy 30-minute classes are created with 4-5-year-olds in-mind, offering them an introductory step into the world of dance.

Ballet & Pointe

Ballet is a classical dance form demanding grace and precision. Ballet is the key ingredient of a dancer’s training. It increases body awareness, posture, strength and balance. It also teaches the dancer focus, discipline and determination.

Advanced ballet dancers may go on to dance on pointe – a style of dance performed in pointe shoes on the tips of the toes. Our pointe program is by invitation only.

Jazz

Jazz dance is commonly taught in dance schools and performed by dance companies around the world. It continues to be an essential element of musical theatre choreography, where it may be interwoven with other dance styles as appropriate for a particular show. Jazz is designed to give students technique and style integrated with developing flexibility, strength, and a sense of musicality.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop dance refers to dance styles primarily danced to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, popping, and krumping.

Boys Only Hip Hop

Classes just for our boys! Boys will learn a variety of dance styles in a fun, positive atmosphere. Please note boys are welcome in any class offered at Dance London, however, these classes are reserved for boys only. Jr is for boys 5-8 and Int is for boys 9 and up.

Teen

It’s never too late to start studying dance! This beginner class is designed for teenagers who are brand new to dance or have less than 2 years of experience.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. This dance style provides a great escape for dancers. It allows the dancer to interpret the music and let their body tell the story.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a merging of ballet and jazz styles, using music with lyrics that inspire the choreographer/dancer to interpret the emotions of the song.

Acro

Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance techniques with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character and its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics. It provides dancers with strength, flexibility, and increases their overall athleticism.

Acro / Jazz Combo

This class is a combination of Jazz & Acro. Dancers take 30 minutes of acro and 30 minutes of jazz. Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance techniques with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character and its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics. It provides dancers with strength, flexibility, and increases their overall athleticism.

Tap

Tap is one of the oldest American art forms. It arose from a huge melting pot of ideas, customs, music and dance styles. With the exception of Spanish dance, it is the only field that incorporates the element of sound. Tap is the best way to enhance co-ordination, rhythm, and musical understanding.

Tap / Jazz Combo

This high energy hour long class is great for dancers that want to learn both tap and jazz in one convienent class time. Dancers will start with 30 minutes of tap and then move onto 30 minutes of jazz.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is a combination of dance, acting and song. This class consists of vocal training, jazz technique, dramatic games and auditioning skills. Musical theatre training is an asset to a dancer as it broadens their talents making them a triple threat.

Adult Classes

We currently offer ballet and tap classes for adults. No dance experience required! Dance classes are great for increasing balance, coordination and strength. So put on your dancing shoes and come and join us—we guarantee you will leave class with a smile on your face!

Inclusive Movement

This class is very special to Dance London. We believe everyone should have the chance to learn the art of dance. This class is designed for students with special needs with the focus on fun and maximizing class participation. Students learn ballet and jazz techniques.
